Last week, after I finished separating worms from compost, I built 2 worm towers in the garden.
I took 2 lengths of PVC, 2 feet each, and drilled large holes along the bottom foot. These were placed in the garden, with the foot with the holes under the soil.

I then added a pound of worms to each tower along with shredded newspaper and their favorite pre-compost food. Pre-compost food is kitchen scraps I throw in a rubbermaid bin and let it sit and start to decompose. I covered the pre-compost with shredded newspaper.
The towers are topped off with lemon bags to keep the flies out.
